Thos L. Bryant, has been part of the ROAD & TRACK team since 1972. With 34 years of experience in the industry, his knowledge sets a top notch tone for the magazine. Readers enthusiastically look forward to his monthly column “On the Road.”

John C. Driscoll, Jr.

Vice President/Publisher, Road & Track

John C Driscoll, Jr. has served as Road & Track’s Vice President/Publisher since 2005. He began his career at Hachette in 1995 as western advertising manager for Cycle World.

Richard Baron

Design Director

Twenty-five years ago, Richard started at ROAD & TRACK as an Assistant Art Director. He graduated with a degree in Art/Communications from San Diego State University. In his spare time he restores cars, one being a 1965 Jaguar E-type that he currently owns and completely restored 15 years ago.

Dennis Simanaitis

Engineering Editor

Dennis received his B.S., M.A and Ph.D. in Mathematics. As Engineering Editor, with 27 years experience at the magazine, he brings extreme knowledge of the field to ROAD & TRACK. Dennis has taught mathematics and did ecological modeling at the College of the Virgin Islands, St.Thomas.

Matt DeLorenzo

Detroit Editor

Matt began his career as a reporter for the Peoria Journal Star and later moved on to edit magazines such as Auto Week and Automotive News. He has been at ROAD & TRACK for 8 years.

Sam Mitani

International Editor

Sam has been with ROAD & TRACK for the past 15 years, beginning right when he graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Journalism. He also writes a column for a Japanese car magazine.

Douglas Kott

Executive Editor

As ROAD & TRACK’s Executive Editor, Douglas graduated from California State University with a degree in Communications and began his career as a college intern, 19 years ago.

Ellida Maki

Managing Editor

At ROAD & TRACK for the past 30 years, Ellida, a graduate of Cal State Fullerton, began her career as a newspaper reporter. She first worked for ROAD & TRACK as a secretary in the early 60’s when the staff numbered 3 editors.

Andrew Bornhop

Specials Editor

Andy is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Journalism, and has been with ROAD & TRACK since 1987. His love of cars and racing dates back to a childhood spent competing in bicycle motocross and attending races at tracks such as Riverside and Ascot Park.

Patrick Hong

Senior Technical Editor

Patrick began his career at ROAD & TRACK as a college intern while at the University of California and University of Southern California. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Mechanical and a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and brings his expertise to ROAD & TRACK as Senior Technical Editor.

Jim Hall

Online Editor

Jim studied Finance at the University of Southern California. Wrapping up his 11th year at ROAD & TRACK, he is as passionate about football, both college and NFL, as he is about cars and auto racing.

Mike Monticello

Features Editor

Mike received a B.S in Liberal Studies from Southern Connecticut State University and an M.S in Journalism from Quinnipiac. He has been at ROAD & TRACK for 5 Years.

Robert W. Swift

Associate Art Director

Better known as “Bert” by those that know him, Swift has been a part of the ROAD & TRACK squad for more than 8 years. Originally from Fairfield, Connecticut, Bert carries a B.S. degree in Graphic Design from the University of Bridgeport, and studied abroad at the College of Art and Design in Limerick, Ireland.

Shaun Bailey

Road Test Editor

Shaun is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. As a Manufacturing Engineer intern at Parker and Hannifin he gained experience with robotics and motion control products.

Jonathan Elfalan

Road Test Assistant

Jonathan is ROAD & TRACK’s new Road Test Assistant. He received his B.S in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. His hobbies include surfing, snowboarding, sports bikes, and of course, cars.
