Web Analytics Specialist

Job Description:
The ideal web analyst will be responsible for reporting and analyzing website data as it relates to content, product, advertising, marketing, and business forecasting and planning. The candidate will utilize online user metrics to proactively identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations that continuously improve and maximize effectiveness, increase traffic, and website usability. This position reports to the Director of Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams to identify, track, and report on KPIs.
- Identify and measure key performance metrics including unique growth, repeat visits, and content consumption.
- Conduct A/B and other test plans, analyze results and recommend improvements.
- Set up tracking URLs for SEM campaigns, ad campaigns, monitor traffic and report on results.
- Train colleagues to use Omniture.
- Provide reports and dashboards to include trending and analysis.
- Stay abreast of web analytics trends and best practices.
The ideal candidate should have:
- More than 2 years web analytics experience including measurement, testing, benchmarks, and terminology.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques in click stream, funnel analysis, and conversion optimization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to present and explain detailed analysis and reports.
- Proficiency at using Microsoft Excel and other data mining tools.
- Bachelors degree in quantitative studies or related fields.
