Alain Lemarchand

President and Chief Executive Officer, HFM U.S.

Alain Lemarchand became President & CEO, Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. on September 1, 2008. Prior to joining the U.S. company, he served as Chief Operating Officer of HFM U.S.’s parent company Lagardère Active. Most of Mr. Lemarchand’s career has been with the Lagardère Group. He held the position of CFO for various Lagardère subsidiaries in France and in United States, and in 1999 he became Head of Financial Communication and Investors Relations Management for Lagardère SCA. In September 2004, he was appointed CEO of Lagardère Active Broadcast (radio and television properties) by Lagardère SCA General Partner Arnaud Lagardère and in September 2006 became a Member of the Lagardère Active Executive Board.
