Catherine Flickinger

Executive Vice President and General Counsel, HFM U.S.

Catherine Flickinger was named executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. in January 2002. She is responsible for both the legal and the human resources departments. Flickinger had served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary since March 1997. Previously, she was vice president, general counsel since 1987 when the company was named Diamandis Communications. From 1984 to 1987, Flickinger worked in the legal department at CBS Inc., becoming associate general counsel for the publishing group in 1986. She began her career after a federal court clerkship as an associate from 1977 to 1984 at the New York law firm, Cravath, Swaine and Moore.
