Advertising Age named Carol Smith, SVP/ELLE Group Publishing Director, the Publishing Executive of the Year and listed ELLE magazine as #3 on The A List. In this week's issue of Ad Age, Nat Ives writes “Carol A. Smith brought little fashion experience with her when she arrived as publisher of ELLE in 2002, the magazine’s worst year ever.
