Colorado Comes to the Big Apple

04/01/2008

Hachette Filipacchi Media, The Colorado Tourism Office, and Nikon Inc. are pleased to announce the creation of the Let’s Talk Colorado Gallery. The gallery will open at 317 Madison Avenue, just steps from bustling Grand Central Station. This amazing space will be open for the entire month of April with large street facing windows designed to entice the public to come in and learn more about the Rocky Mountain state. From the moment guests enter the gallery, they will be immersed in all things Colorado, from the stunning landscape photographs on the walls to the local music being played to the regional food and beverages available to taste. Even the staff will be from Colorado, providing visitors with authentic, firsthand accounts of life out West.

“Colorado offers some of the most breathtaking scenery found anywhere in the world. What better way to showcase the natural beauty of Colorado here in New York City than through the use of dramatic imagery and visuals? At the Let's Talk Colorado Gallery, visitors will be able to sample Colorado products, view a gallery of Colorado photos by Nikon professional photographers and be virtually transported to Colorado, posing in front of dramatic Colorado landscapes and backdrops.” said Kim McNulty, director of the Colorado Tourism Office.

Throughout the month of April, there will be a plethora of new and exciting reasons for New Yorkers to stop by the Let’s Talk Colorado Gallery. For example, there will be a variety of authentic Colorado foods and beverages available to sample and the selection will change frequently so visitors can stop in and experience a different Colorado flavor each time. Visitors will also have the opportunity to have their picture taken in front of various Colorado landscapes; the photos will be printed on site so guests can leave with a memento of their virtual journey. For budding photographers, there will be Nikon professional-photographer hosted photography seminars where guests can learn how to create photos as breathtaking as the ones hanging in the gallery. There will also be an information kiosk to provide New Yorkers with all they need to plan their next Colorado vacation.

In addition to the daily activities at the gallery, there will be a few special events throughout the month:

Gallery opening launch party on April 1st for the press and fashion, art and entertainment industry insiders

Earth Day event on April 22nd focusing on all natural products from Colorado
